Real leaders build a better world and Mohamed Adow is a prime example. Growing up as a nomadic pastoralist in northern Kenya, Mohamed saw firsthand how climate change threatens livelihoods and communities. These experiences shaped his resolve to tackle the root causes of vulnerability and fight for climate justice. When he was selected for the Climate Breakthrough Award program in 2020, he knew he needed to be ambitious to help his continent move away from the extractive models of the past toward a more sustainable and equitable system.
